Security Officer - Harbor Patrol

As a Security Officer - Harbor Patrol in Dana Point, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a positive experience for all visitors. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary based on the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal and / or site management as required.
  • Assist visitors and tenants with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
