Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Description: Perform initial and ongoing design reviews; Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors and deficiencies; Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve; Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project; Develop CAD drawings ensuring accuracy; Collaborate with teams to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects; Ensure designed products can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments; Produce details of specifications and outline designs; Recommend modifications following prototype test results; Use analytical and conceptual skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided designs; Provide recommendations based on scientific research and planning; Other duties as assigned.
Position Requires: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s ideal) with 5+ years of permanent engineering experience. Familiarity with polymers, plastics processing, injection, and compression molding; Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred); Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, Creo Simulate, or similar); Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW etc.); Creativity and analytical skills; Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner; Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to provide updates to upper management; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites; Accurate and attentive to detail with excellent documentation skills; Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing; Excellent organizational and leadership skills. ;Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach to meet deadlines. Selected employees must be able to commit to a 4-10 workweek, onsite.
