The Technician will have the lead role in the program to upgrade or replace cameras and infrastructure throughout the Hospital system. The Technician is responsible for the day to day operating efficiency of the hospital Security camera systems. The Technician will be responsible for the Installation, system upgrades / maintenance / repair, if applicable, of the hospital security camera system. When necessary the Technician will make recommendations for additional camera installations, types of camera needed, and any additional infrastructure needs to fulfill the goals of the hospital camera security system. The Technician will stay up to date on current security camera infrastructure technologies and best practices. The Technician will report directly to the Electrical / Energy Management Supervisor. The Technician will work in a support role, as needed, with the Engineering Department as determined by the electrical supervisor and engineering Director. The technician will supply video footage for court cases and police, working with IT to determine bandwidth needed for streaming. He will manage projects and keep track of all video equipment and maintain stock of all related surveillance components.

Five years of progressively responsible experience in security camera system installation.
Proficient in installation, maintenance, and repair of security camera systems.
Proficient in PC computer platforms and servers, networking technology.
Proficient in location, retrieval, and presentation of surveillance video as needed.
Thorough understanding of surveillance technology.
Excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral) and have worked with all levels of management within an organization.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a very fast paced and changing environment.
