About the Role

HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a small but highly skilled engineering consulting firm in Bend, Oregon. This is a leadership-track opportunity for an experienced engineer who brings both technical excellence and the ability to manage and grow an electrical department.

You'll lead the electrical design of MEP projects across commercial, industrial, medical, and multi-family sectors, collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and internal teams. This role blends hands-on design with client leadership and business acumen, making it an ideal fit for someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys variety in project work, and is ready to make a direct impact on both project outcomes and the future of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for building systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Manage and deliver a wide range of MEP projects, from small-scale to complex developments
• Collaborate with architects and project teams to produce coordinated, constructible designs
• Oversee project scope, schedule, and budgets while maintaining client relationships
• Provide quality control, ensuring designs meet codes, standards, and energy efficiency best practices
• Represent the firm in client meetings, site visits, and coordination sessions
• Manage drafting resources, with the opportunity to hire and develop dedicated support staff
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing
• Support proposal development, fee estimates, and business development activities
