Consilio is seeking an

Associate Attorney – Insurance Coverage Practice Group

for a law firm client in DC this is a full time, permanent and benefited position.

  • Washington DC
  • Hybrid

2 days in office / / 3 remote

  • Billable Hours : 1,900 / yr

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on coverage and litigation issues
  • Perform coverage analysis, including insurance policy and claims review
  • Draft coverage position letters
  • Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation (pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, settlement)
  • Author articles on timely insurance topics

    • Education & Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to MD and / or VA Bars plus DC Bar or waiver eligibility
  • 1-3 years of property / casualty insurance coverage experience required.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and ownership of tasks

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range : $125,000 – $145,000, commensurate with experience
  • Eligibility for the Firm's billable-hours bonus program and collections bonus program
