Site Superintendent

KPS Global is looking for a turnkey Superintendent to join the Construction Services Group.

Required Skills

The turnkey Superintendent is responsible for representing KPS Global in all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on time and within budget. Must maintain the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. This role provides valuable technical and field expertise and service support to KPS Global customers regarding their walk-in coolers and freezers .

• Coordinates and supervises all construction and job site activities
• Completely understand projects floor plans, fixture placement, blue prints, and construction codes as affected by local and state ordinances
• Previous experience pulling permits would be beneficial
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of project on time, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to the original plans and specifications of project
• Reviews scope of work for contracts and PO's issued
• Maintains construction schedules, identifies, and resolve problems
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the project
• Understands the project plan and specifications
• Maintains positive and productive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and other employees
• Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of final punch list for each project
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and corrects job site hazards immediately
• Track and record change orders and complete required reporting and maintains an organized job site and daily log
• Must work closely with Project Manager & Coordinator to assure all Change Orders and RFIs are kept up with and distributed in a timely manner
• Provide project managers timely evaluations of field employees and subs upon completion of projects

Required Experience

• High School Diploma
• 3 – 5 years of related experience; 3 – 5 years of field experience preferred
• Working knowledge of laptop, smart phone, small hand and electronic tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet Explorer
• Advanced carpentry skills and basic knowledge of refrigeration systems, including some troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to professionally communicate with customers and effectively capture, organize, and share field information
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable standing, climbing, and walking for the majority of the time
• Must be comfortable walking in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas

• Travel up to 100% required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 3 – 5 years of related experience; 3 – 5 years of field experience preferred
• Working knowledge of laptop, smart phone, small hand and electronic tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet Explorer
