Job Description:

Are you an experienced welder with a passion for precision and quality? Do you take pride in your workmanship and have a keen eye for detail? If so, we want you to join our team! We are currently seeking a Structural Steel Welder to play a crucial role in constructing the future of our built environment.

Responsibilities:

• Welding Expertise: Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, on structural steel components according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of steel structures.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position steel materials for welding.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform routine inspections of welding equipment, reporting any issues for timely repair or replacement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including fitters, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked on each project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder, with a minimum of 2 years in the industry.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a metal fabrication environment.
• Knowledge of welding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
