We are looking for a dynamic organized self-starter to join our Worldwide Operations Human Resources team as an HR Investigator supporting our US locations.

The central objective of the Employee Relations Centralized Investigation team is to thoroughly and expeditiously investigate all associate concerns in a fair unbiased and consistent manner.

The ideal candidate for this position has strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrates an ability to earn trust dive deep and work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee relations issues and business challenges.

Key job responsibilities

The HR Investigator will work proactively to :

  • Investigate highly sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues including : Conducting complainant witness and subject employee interviews; Analyzing data from various internal systems; Case adjudication; Proposing remedial action based on investigation findings; Production of completed investigation documentation
  • Independently manage assigned casework bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
  • Design collect and analyze multiple levels of employee and stakeholder feedback
  • Analyze aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation
  • Analyze casework trends and produce strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic issues
  • Partner to engage in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner in analysis and revision of people programs policies and practices to sustain a positive work environment for all WW Ops employees
  • Consult and collaborate with business partners Corporate ER teams Legal teams and 3rd Party Vendors on complex employee investigations
  • The individual also will work reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and typically can only be successfully completed with limited time. Balancing time between projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in the position.
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in conducting investigative work including claimant witness and target employee interviews investigative data analysis and production of investigative documentation
  • Experience supporting hourly employee client group
  • Experience in a call center distribution center or manufacturing environment
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends nights and holidays
  • 5-7 years human resource generalist experience or HR investigations specialist experience
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR policies and procedures
  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization particularly at the executive level
  • Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving
  • Advanced degree JD or other specialized training in labor / employee relations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $123800 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and / or other benefits.
