Clinical Director (BCBA)

Job Description

Autism Center of Excellence is seeking an experienced Clinical Director (BCBA) to lead our Durham, NC clinic. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned clinician who is ready to oversee clinical operations, mentor BCBAs and RBTs, and ensure the highest quality of care for the children and families we serve.

This position is ideal for a Clinical Director who wants a stable, clinic-based leadership role, manageable billable expectations, and strong executive support while maintaining a connection to client care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical oversight for all ABA services within the clinic

Supervise and mentor BCBAs and clinical staff

Ensure all treatment plans meet clinical, ethical, and funding standards

Support hiring, onboarding, and clinical development of staff

Maintain quality assurance, compliance, and clinical outcomes

Collaborate with executive and operations leadership

Maintain a small clinical caseload to stay engaged in client care

Clinical Expectations

BCBA certification required

4–5+ years of BCBA experience required

Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

15 billable hours per week expectation

Full-time, in-clinic presence required

Requirements

Active BCBA certification in good standing

4–5+ years of experience as a practicing BCBA

Prior experience supervising BCBAs and / or RBTs

Strong knowledge of ABA ethics, clinical standards, and payer requirements

Experience maintaining compliance, documentation, and treatment integrity

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Ability to work full-time in an in-clinic setting

Must pass background check and credentialing
