Payroll Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Corona, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in managing payroll operations for a diverse workforce across multiple states. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of wage laws, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a Contract-to-long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with payroll administrators to compile and verify timekeeping records for payroll processing.
• Coordinate payroll activities across multiple divisions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Process payroll for a mix of union and non-union employees, including both hourly and salaried staff.
• Manage electronic timesheets on a weekly basis for approximately 1,200 employees.
• Handle multi-state payroll processing, adhering to state-specific regulations including California.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll requirements.
• Utilize Excel and payroll systems to manage imports, analyze data, and generate reports.
• Communicate effectively with accounting team members and division representatives to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of garnishments and other deductions in accordance with legal standards.
• Support the overall payroll function to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements - Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
