Position Summary :

Roseman University is seeking a visionary and highly organized licensed dentist to lead our Externship Program, guiding 3rd year dental students through transformative elective clinical rotations. This pivotal role blends strategic oversight with hands-on coordination, ensuring students gain exceptional real-world experience across diverse clinical settings.

As Director, you will manage all facets of the program—from scheduling and budgeting to site affiliations, accreditation compliance, and relationship-building with affiliate providers. Your decisions will directly shape the quality of student education and patient care outcomes. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in dentistry, paired with expertise in event planning, marketing, and communication, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced academic environment.

A DDS / DMD degree and active licensure are essential, enabling you to uphold clinical standards and foster meaningful partnerships with remote site dentists. Essential Functions :

• Coordinate externship operations and events in collaboration with Outreach Operations, including continuing dental education and faculty calibration.
• Manage affiliation agreements, contracts, and affiliate faculty appointments.
• Ensure timely submission of student credentials and documentation to clinical sites.
• Maintain compliance with CODA accreditation through data collection, reporting, and documentation.
• Conduct annual site visits and faculty calibration at affiliated rotation locations.
• Oversee financial processes, including invoicing and reimbursements related to student rotations.
• Supervise student rotation and travel logistics, including arrangements and paperwork.
• Support faculty and teaching responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean.
• Serve as a communication liaison for clinical affairs and patient care updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
