SCHEDULE :

Evenings and weekends as scheduled weekly

SUMMARY :

Family Service League is seeking a part-time bilingual Social Worker to provide counseling to individuals, groups and families and facilitate issue related groups and / or workshops.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop and facilitate family centered programs / activities that focus on specific issues of concern.
• Represent the agency in community based initiatives.
• Provide short term counseling and focused groups for families / individuals.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set goals and resolve problems
• Provide advocacy, referrals, and crisis intervention.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Master's Degree in Social Work, LMHC or related field required.

Minimum of three years of experience with individual or group counseling required.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.

Ability to multitask and work in a high volume community based family center required.

Bilingual in Spanish required.

Flexibility to work evenings and / or weekends required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position often requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
