Epileptologist opening in Torrington, CT 30 miles from Hartford, CT Details : - Full-time, permanent position- Seeking a fellowship trained BC / BE Epileptologist. We have a collaborative and inclusive model of care, offering personalized, coordinated care with excellent patient experience. The center has all the specialized diagnostic and treatment tools needed to help people with seizures get more out of life. Job details : - Preferred candidates will have strong competency in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and interest in developing cutting edge approaches for epilepsy surgical. Demonstrated experience in areas such as education, research, or quality are also welcomed.- Clinical duties include outpatient care for people with epilepsy, as well as a mix of routine EEGs, EMU, LTM and intracranial EEG services. About the Epilepsy Center : - The Epilepsy Center's approach to care is a supportive, multidisciplinary care model. The team includes 8 epileptologists and 3 neurosurgeons. The behavioral health of our patients is attended to in collaboration with our social worker and psychiatrist. The UConn neurology residency program clinical training is based at the Hospital and the program director is one of the epileptologists. As epilepsy specialists we meet regularly to discuss complex cases, review EEGs, discuss journal articles, and share ideas.
