Location & Work Arrangement

City, State : Lansing, Michigan
Work Arrangement : Hybrid (Required 2 days onsite per week).

Note : No remote-only option is available. Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense with no delays.

Contract Status : Contract (Initial 12-month term with potential for extension).

Interview Mode : MS Teams (Candidates must be willing to go onsite for interviews if requested).

Security Note : A vendor must be present at the start of the interview to validate the candidate, and a photo / screenshot will be required.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

This role balances new feature development with the maintenance of vital public service applications.

1. Full Stack Development & Design

Module Engineering : Build and test application programs, creating new modules and enhancing existing ones within a Java enterprise environment.

Architecture Collaboration : Partner with Application Architects to validate functional and technical designs, ensuring all code meets performance standards.

Web & Mobile Support : Develop responsive single-page applications (SPA) and provide support for COTS-based Mobile applications.

2. Production Support & Maintenance

Issue Remediation : Analyze production issues, perform bug fixes, and manage deployments to production environments.

Documentation : Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and participate in scheduled peer design reviews.

Quality Assurance : Ensure all program modules comply with design specifications and industry secure coding practices.

3. Continuous Improvement

Technical Excellence : Apply deep domain knowledge to improve coding practices and system performance.

Agile Integration : Participate in Agile ceremonies to streamline project workflows and delivery timelines.
