Salary Range : $23.00 - $24.00

Position Summary

The Assistant Site Coordinator, reporting to the Site Coordinator(s), supports the effective planning, and implementation of our expanded learning program (ELO-P), site-specific. The Assistant Site Coordinator will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and academically enriching environment for our students while building strong relationships with TCF staff, school staff, parents, and community partners. The Assistant Site Coordinator is responsible for supporting program planning, compliance, communication, student support, administrative duties, and continuous professional development.
Essential Functions
Program Planning and Implementation :
- Release staff for breaks in program
- Cover staff absences within program
- Complete supper and roster count daily for program.
- Develop positive relationships with principal, teachers, office staff, lunch clerks, custodians, and staff in support to the Site Coordinator
- Support site orientation, tours, and onsite support to staff
- Attend staff meetings, mandatory training, District PLCs and other TCF events such as parent night, and special events as required by the program
- Support Site Coordinator in their absence by taking on a leadership role to ensure program is functioning in their absence, including but not limited to Procare
- Support in overall program management
Record Keeping and Compliance :
Take daily attendance of all studentsEnsure all students are signed in and out of the program by an authorized representativeCreate rosters, adding and removing students from the waitlist into the program when availableMeet the average daily attendance (ADA) goal for the siteAssist with student's enrollment, attendance, and auditsCommunication and Relationship Building :
Cultivate positive relationships and transparent communication with supervisors, TCF staff, school staff, parents, and community partnersServe as a liaison between school staff, administrative teams, and the TCF staffProactively engage with the supervisor on operational matters, including student progress and program effectivenessModel exemplary relationship-building skills in interactions with students, parents, district personnel, and TCF staffStudent Support and Behavior Management :
Provide support and instruction when neededEstablish and enforce rules to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.Assist students in building positive self-image and healthy interpersonal relationshipsAdhere to TCF policies related to safety, discipline, and emergenciesUphold TCF policies, including those concern medical situations, child abuse prevention, dress code, and cell phone / electronic device usageCommunicate regarding staff progress and performance for additional training and support needed by TCF supervisorsAssist with student sign outs as neededCommunicate student needs and concerns to Site CoordinatorAdditional Responsibilities
Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, recognizing that the role may evolve to include new tasks introduced by the company.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge / Experience / Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have at least 48-semester college units or successful completion of the Paraeducator examTB test clearanceMust pass DOJ / FBI criminal background check.Must be punctual and reliable.Must have experience working with youth and a general knowledge base of core elementary subjects.Must possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills.Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, and community partners.Physical Demands
Must have sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise children’s activities including the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.Must be fit for frequent bending and standing.Work Environment / Travel
