Manager, PL / SQL Development & Data Integration
Location : Remote (U.S.A Only)
Team Size : 7 FTEs + 2 contractors
Primary Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a technically strong, hands-on Manager to lead a team focused on PL / SQL development and data integration. This leader will bring deep expertise in PL / SQL and the ability to guide architectural and programmatic solutions across a growing suite of technologies. The ideal candidate combines a solid technical foundation with a collaborative mindset and emerging leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for PL / SQL development and data-movement strategies.
- Architect and oversee scalable, efficient solutions for data integration and transformation.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers (7 FTEs, 2 contractors), fostering growth and cross-training across technologies.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, quality, and team performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
10+ years combined education and / or professional experience in technology.5+ years hands-on programming experience with a strong emphasis on PL / SQL .3+ years in a supervisory or project-management role leading development teams.Deep expertise with PL / SQL and Oracle database environments.Experience with data architecture, ETL processes, and performance tuning .Exposure to other technologies is a plus; demonstrated willingness to learn and manage cross-functional tools.Leadership & Communication

Nice to Have (Optional)
Experience modernizing data platforms or integrating with cloud services (e.g., Oracle on cloud, data pipelines, scheduling / orchestration).Background with CI / CD for database code, code review practices, and quality gates.Familiarity with reporting / analytics consumers and performance optimization at scale.
