Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students with visual impairments in an elementary school setting in Statesville, NC. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction and tailored support throughout the school year to enhance students' learning experiences and independence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods and adaptive technologies to assist students in accessing the curriculum.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Provide orientation and mobility training to promote student autonomy.
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and services provided.
