DHH Teacher | Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time teaching opportunity is available for educators specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. This on-site position is located in the Murfreesboro area, specifically within schools serving the Franklin region. The contract runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026.

Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction for students with hearing impairments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and tailoring educational strategies to meet individual needs. The caseload and exact age group are currently to be determined.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee teaching license with DHH endorsement
• Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to student-centered, inclusive education

This role offers competitive compensation contingent on experience, ranging from $55 to $67 per hour based on years of school experience, as follows:

• 0-2 years: $55-$58/hour
• 3-5 years: $58-$61/hour
• 6-9 years: $61-$64/hour
• 10+ years: $64-$67/hour
