A well-established international manufacturer in the Elgin area is seeking a Production Buyer to support its purchasing and materials operations during a busy production cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a respected industry leader while contributing immediately to the team's success.

The company operates in a precision manufacturing environment and needs someone who can confidently handle MRP-driven purchasing, vendor communication, and order expediting.

This is a 3-month contract role with a quick startjust one short interview followed by onboarding. Strong performers may be considered for longer-term or permanent opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Run MRP messages and generate standard stock product purchase orders.
• Expedite materials and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain and update inventory and system records to reflect accurate order status.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to resolve supply issues.
• Monitor open orders and delivery commitments, escalating issues proactively.
• Keep organized purchasing documentation and ensure accuracy across systems.
