Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. / ppScope of Position : Under the supervision of the Director of Social Services, The Way Out Center Program Manager will be responsible for all administrative, program and personnel functions along with day-to-day operations of The Way Out Center Program. / ppEducation and Work Experience : / pulliBachelor of Science or Arts Degree in social work, psychology, or other related field preferred / liliCenter management experience could be considered in lieu of degree / liliExperience supervising staff and volunteers / liliExperience working with the homeless population / lipKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required : / pulliKnowledge of social services, local resources, and referrals as appropriate / liliGeneral computer and keyboarding skills / liliKnowledge of Microsoft Suite and recordkeeping systems / liliEffective verbal and written communication / liliEffective interpersonal skills effectively working in a team and with diverse populations / liliCapable of scheduling, performing, and maintaining data entry, contract compliance, budgeting, and reporting / liliDe-escalation training / liliOver 21 years of age / liliPossess a Valid State Driver License / liliPass a Criminal and Driver Background Check / liliPeer Support Certification preferred or obtained within 90 days of hire / liliHave or complete De-escalation training / liliProficiency with CMIS / HMIS software preferred / liliCurrent WA State Food Handlers Card, Bloodborne Pathogen and CPR / First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days of hire / li / ulpEssential Duties and Responsibilities : / pulliRepresent The Salvation Army and respect and work within its Christian tenets / liliSupervise The Way Out Center employees, participants, and volunteers / liliAbility to work a flexible schedule to offset daily workloads or staffing shortfalls; find replacement staff / liliSupervise all work areas within the office : / liulliOffice Management / liliDevelopment / implementation of policies, procedures, systems and forms / liliCase management / liliRecords management / liliData collection and statistical reporting / liliQuality customer service / liliBilling / li / ulliTrain The Way Out Center staff on positions, TSA policies / procedures, and continuing education as needed / liliAssist Director of Social Services on contract compliance, fundraising, grants, budgeting, and program audits / liliMeet with employees / volunteers regularly to exchange information and discuss issues affecting the program / liliPrepare procedural manuals and policies with guidance from the Director of Social Services / liliPrepare reports as required by the Director of Social Services / liliRegularly monitor the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all functions of the office / liliServe as a point of contact for information and represent The Way Out Center to the community / liliRespond to all inquiries within established guidelines; represent TSA at community meetings and events / liliProvide outreach services outside The Way Out Center to recruit program applicants / liliTrain staff and volunteers in the use of automated systems and word processing software, introduce new versions or functions, trouble shoot problems, and attend meetings / liliSupervise the management, retrieval, and destruction of records within established guidelines / liliSchedule / provide guest transportation to / from appointments, meetings, and employment as required / liliManage appeals of participants that have been terminated from The Way Out Center and make decisions regarding appeals, unless directly involved / liliIf directly involved with the termination or appeal, the Social Services Director makes the determination / liliAble to be on-call for programming emergencies / liliPerform The Way Out Center tasks required, which may include but not be limited to the following : / liulliOversight of outreach / liliIntake and placement of new participants / liliCase management / liliEmergency Assistance Programs (food, clothing, transportation, etc.) / liliLife Skills Classes including the demonstration kitchen / liliTurning over of units / liliMonthly Case Reviews for all participants / liliRandom unit checks / liliAftercare services / liliFollow-up services / liliSeasonal and special Events / li / ul / ulpPhysical Requirements : / pulliSit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis / liliGrasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead / liliOperate a multi-line telephone / liliOperate a desktop or laptop computer / liliLift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally / liliAccess and produce information from a computer / liliUnderstand written information / liliSweep, clean, shovel snow, operate snow blower;
