Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial painting projects, including labor, materials, production rates, schedules, and project requirementsPerform detailed takeoffs, review blueprints, and analyze specifications, drawings, and scope documentsApply knowledge of surface preparation methods, coatings, finishes, and application techniquesDevelop complete bid packages, proposals, and scope clarificationsAttend job walks and site visits to gather project data and verify existing conditionsCoordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and field teams to resolve questions and validate project detailsEnsure all estimates comply with company standards, safety practices, and applicable regulationsSupport process improvements and assist with training or mentoring junior team members as neededRequirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience estimating commercial or industrial painting projectsMust be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify eligible)Valid California driver’s licenseAbility to pass a pre-employment physical examinationStrong skills in blueprint reading, painting takeoffs, surface prep and coating systems, labor & material pricing, bid and proposal preparationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skillsTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departmentsIdeal Candidate
