Professional Local Driver

Local Driver Primary Responsibilities

• Safely and securely pack and transport customer belongings, including fragile, large, heavy, and difficult items.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients to review work orders and special requests, ensuring a seamless moving experience.
• Perform assembly and disassembly of customer belongings as needed.
• Organize, prepare, and inspect the vehicle after each move with successful completions of Pre and Post-Trip DVIRs.
• Complete accurate inventories of customer items to ensure no items are missing.
• Demonstrate professionalism by arriving on time, coordinating and leading the moving team, and communicating with the customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Safely transport client belongings over short and long distances.
• Be a crew leader, guiding teams in the warehouse and on jobsites to exceed company standards.
• Utilize a tablet to efficiently process customer bills, inventories and provide clear explanations of move charges.
• Prioritize safety for both vehicles and crew members, actively providing coaching to address any job hazards.
• Elevate the quality of customer moves through effective leadership and communication ensuring success by resourcefully solving any issues that may arise.

*Special Note: Driver Athletes are required to have and own an industrial hand truck, toolbox, and all tools as a requirement for the position. Tools, toolbox, and industrial hand truck with lock are available for purchase through our Lease-to-Own program (low-cost payroll deduction), if selected for the role. You may also supply your own, subject to approval from Operations.

Driver Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in driving box trucks.
• Possession of a valid, unexpired driver's license.
• Clean MVR for previous 36 months.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test and physical examination to obtain a DOT Medical card is required for employment.
• You must be able to repeatedly lift and carry at least 75 pounds by yourself and 150 pounds with assistance
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills when working with our customers and Mover Athletes
• Reliability is a key component in selecting our newest team members; being on time is a critical component of this position

Job Type: Part-time, with the possibility of full-time hours during peak season.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour, Depending on Experience and Professionalism.
