Job Description : Travel Cath Lab Technologist - Austin, TX

Position Title : Travel Cath Lab Technologist

Location : Austin, Texas

Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

Pay Range : $2,800 - $2,966 per week (gross)

Contract Length : Based on assignment

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasties, and other interventional cardiology procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain specialized imaging and monitoring equipment in the Cath Lab.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and medications under physician direction.
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
  • Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Assist with post-procedure patient care and recovery monitoring.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain readiness for emergency situations.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential, depending on facility requirements.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
