Preschool Lead Teacher

The Goddard School, NYC has locations on both the Upper West Side and Upper East Side. We are a school, not a daycare center. We are committed to providing the highest level of stimulating development and warm nurturant care for Infants, and an age-appropriate curriculum for One Year-Olds and up in our Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Our schools are state-of-the-art facilities with many large sun-filled rooms. We are seeking a lead teacher for our infant / toddler classroom to start as soon as possible!

Educational Qualifications

All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher must meet one or more of the following criteria, in addition to any / all requirements that may be mandated by their state and / or local licensing authorities :

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development and state certification
• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and five years' experience in a licensed early childhood center.
• Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Medical Insurance :

The School will pay 50% of the monthly medical insurance premium for our basic individual plan. Coverage begins on the first of the month following enrollment, which can be elected by the end of a 60-day waiting period. You may choose, at additional cost to you, to obtain enhanced coverage, family coverage, and / or dental / vision coverage, if then available.
