Quality Control Technician

My Client-Encore Precast designs and manufactures precast and prestressed concrete products, ranging from catch basins to bridges, and almost everything in between. They are a family-owned company that has a heart for its people and for growth. Encore is currently seeking a hardworking and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our team. Functions : -Test and document fresh concrete in accordance with industry standards. -Test and document hardened concrete in accordance with industry standards. -Monitor quality of, and test conformance to, standards of incoming raw materials. -Learn the operations of the batch plant and batching system Required Skills / Abilities : -Solid math skills -Solid understanding of plant practices and quality control procedures -Ability to diagnose and remedy concrete strength or consistency problems -Strong problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills -Good attendance and a positive attitude are a must -All QC personnel must be team players, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment -Maintain clear and precise records according to internal program testing of concrete to ensure concrete meets project specifications -Perform concrete and aggregate testing is required -Other duties as assigned by the Manager Education and Experience : -High School Diploma or GED -Three to five years of experience in a related field is preferred but not required Physical Requirements : -Be able to stand for extended periods of time . -Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Job Type : Full-time (7 am- 5 pm). Due to the nature of the business, overtime will be occurent.
