Job Summary

This full-time faculty position, beginning August 2026 , teaches a diverse student population in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) discipline with a focus on Cybersecurity certificates and degrees. Instruction may be delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, live online, and online formats, emphasizing both technology concepts and hands-on application.

Responsibilities include student advising, supporting adjunct faculty, promoting dual enrollment with local high schools, and participating in departmental meetings and college committees. The position also involves building and maintaining industry partnerships to strengthen workforce connections. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, service excellence, integrity, innovation, and diversity.

Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR

Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor's degree or higher OR

A Master's degree or higher in the teaching field OR

A Master's degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR

A Master's degree or higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and / or graduate credits in the teaching field

Desired Qualifications

A. Master's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a closely related STEM field.

B. Demonstrated industry experience in cybersecurity.

C. Demonstrated experience teaching in multiple modalities and creating curriculum for those modalities and teaching programming and automation tools for cybersecurity.

Demonstrated mastery in multiple domains with active lab or project examples

E. Demonstrated experience integrating Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies in cybersecurity.

F. Demonstrates current industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications and actively engages in professional cybersecurity organizations or associations to maintain expertise and alignment with evolving industry standards.

Special Working Conditions

May be required to sit or stand for a prolonged period of time, and viewing a computer monitor

May be required to represent the department at high schools and other off campus events.

May be required to teach evenings.

Travel to campus during the interview / selection process will be at the candidate's own expense.
