The Life Fitness / Hammer Strength Internship Program 2026 is now accepting applicants in their junior and senior year. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as summer interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and develop valuable skills and contribute to Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's mission and goals.

Successful applicants will be assigned meaningful and challenging work suitable for their background. The program advisor(s) and mentors will meet with you regularly to identify and develop your summer objectives. This is a paid position based out of the Chicagoland area and will run for approximately 13 weeks. NOT AVAILABLE FOR REMOTE OPPORTUNITY.

Key Responsibilities :

• Help new team members feel welcomed and prepared by supporting orientation and onboarding programs
• Engage in on-site activities and initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture
• Maintain and update employee records with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Support in creating and distributing benefits communications refresher materials to keep team members informed and engaged
• Gain hands-on exposure to company benefit programs, including assisting with 401(k) audits and related processes
• Contribute to additional projects and activities as assigned

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The base wage range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual base pay will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength provides a valuable and enriching experience for interns. Depending on the length and timing of their internship, interns may qualify for paid holidays during their assignment. They are also eligible for paid sick leave as outlined by state and local laws. Eligibility for all benefits is determined by the applicable plan documents and company policies.
