Position & Client Overview :

We are currently conducting a search for several certified medical laboratory technicians or medical technologists for a moderately high volume laboratory in the Tuscaloosa area. These are permanent third shift positions. Experience as a generalist is preferred.

This facility, located approximately an hour northeast of Tuscaloosa, is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus as well as relocation assistance. They also offer excellent benefits and lots of opportunities for growth.

Hourly Pay Range : $21-35 / hour with $3.00 shift differential

Job Summary :

Discover the presence or absence of disease and provide data that help physicians determine the best treatment for the patient. Specialty areas of laboratory medicine include clinical chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, serology and the emerging field of molecular diagnostics.

Skill Requirements :

• Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the equipment
• Dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are required to collect and prepare specimens
• Lab safety and infection prevention is of paramount importance
