CNC Machinist

Job Posting : CNC Machinist (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location : Harwood Heights, IL | Shifts : 1st & 2nd Shift Available

A well-established precision manufacturing company in Harwood Heights, IL is hiring CNC Machinists for both 1st and 2nd shift . The team is looking for dependable, long-term employees who want to grow with the company; frequent job changers need not apply .

What You’ll Do :

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills , specifically Doosan and Haas machines.

Run parts using existing programs and tooling, making necessary offsets to ensure good first articles.

Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges.

Maintain strong documentation and quality control standards.

Read and interpret complex part drawings, including GD&T features.

Must-Have Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED.

2-3+ years of experience operating CNC lathes, mills, or mill-turns in a job shop environment .

Ability to use precision inspection equipment and interpret complex mechanical drawings.

Experience working in low-volume, high-changeover machining settings.

Stable work history — candidates with long stints at previous employers will be prioritized.

Nice to Have :

Experience with Fanuc-controlled equipment and / or Doosan and Haas machines.

Familiarity with Esprit 2020 or Esprit Edge for CNC programming.

Ability to troubleshoot and edit programs (not required but appreciated).

Strong inspection skills and problem-solving capabilities.
