[job_card.job_description]Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree. Previous experience as a Machine Designer, ideally in material handling, assembly, or automation sectors. Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with Inventor, CREO, Pro-E, AutoCAD, or other 3D design software is beneficial. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servos is advantageous. Strong technical aptitude, team-oriented mindset, and meticulous attention to detail. Project Engineering or structural design experience is a plus. Must be a US citizen or possess a Green Card. Overview : Join a dynamic team as a Machine Design Engineer responsible for designing and enhancing machinery using SolidWorks software. This role offers exciting projects, flexible hours, career advancement opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and more. This is a direct hire position for a reputable and growing machine builder in the Wyoming, MI area. All levels of experience will be considered. Also have similar openings in Holland, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.
Responsibilities :
- Create, design, and layout custom automation equipment based on engineering principles and expertise.
- Conceptualize machine designs and select appropriate materials.
- Develop detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks software.
- Size mechanical components such as pumps, gears, pulleys, sheet metal, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping.
- Provide support for machine assembly and troubleshooting.
