A company is looking for a Distinguished Engineer, Database Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve the architectural blueprint for a highly elastic and scalable cloud database

Develop frameworks and systems that support autoscaling and cost-aware elasticity

Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term engineering strategy in collaboration with various teams

Required Qualifications

15+ years in database internals, query optimization, and query execution

10+ years in large-scale distributed systems in the cloud

Proven track record architecting high-scale, elastic systems

Experience with AI for database optimization

Prior Distinguished Engineer or Principal Engineer experience in a database or large-scale cloud-native organization
