A company is looking for a Nuclear Methods Engineer to support nuclear analysis methods for design and licensing of a demonstration MCFR reactor.
Key Responsibilities
Develop neutronics methods for analysis of a fast spectrum molten salt reactor
Implement nuclear analysis methodologies using Python software
Conduct core design and analysis activities, including fuel management strategies and validation of neutronics analysis
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with 6-10 years of relevant experience
Experience in nuclear design / analysis methodologies, especially for fast-neutron reactors
Proficiency with radiation transport software; experience with MCNP, OpenMC, or similar is preferred
Programming experience in any language, preferably in scientific computing with Python skills as a bonus
Familiarity with software development tools and experience in a NQA-1 compliant QA environment is preferred
