Accounts Receivable Specialist Overland Park, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire| up to $55,000 annually
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team on a temp?to?hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast?paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and brings hands?on experience with billing, cash application, and account reconciliation. The position offers the opportunity to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Create, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Apply cash receipts, ACH, and check payments to customer accounts
- Monitor and manage AR aging; follow up on outstanding balances as needed
- Resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and credit memos
- Reconcile customer accounts and assist with month?end close activities
- Communicate with internal teams and external customers regarding account issues
- Maintain accurate AR records and documentation in accordance with company policies
QUALIFICATIONS: - 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or related accounting role
- Strong working knowledge of AR processes including invoicing, cash application, and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
