Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Buyer
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Buyer to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes. This role is critical to ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, supporting operational efficiency and organizational growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business objectives and ensure supply continuity.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, and quality.
Manage supplier performance, including conducting regular reviews and resolving issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance) to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for savings and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, systems, and tools.
Support inventory management and demand planning to optimize stock levels.
Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost savings.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience of ERP / MRP (SAP experience is plus).
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge and experience of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), JIT (Just In Time)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and global sourcing.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously within a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture.
Bi-Lingual skills is a plus
Travel :
This position will require 10~30% of overseas travel for collaboration with Amkor Corporate procurement and overseas suppliers.
This position will be dispatched to Amkor Technology Korea for 3~6 months to learn and benchmark Amkor procurement operations and strategy once hired.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare] is desired.
Familiarity with sustainability and ESG procurement practices is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
Location : This position will be based at the Arizona Tempe and Peoria sites during the Construction phase and will transition to Peoria for management during the Factory Operation phase.
