Pharmacy Technician

The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our shelter medical team. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus with a schedule of Tuesdays and Thursday - Saturday 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM. A Day in the Life :

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of animals in our care by ensuring the accurate dispensing and safe handling of medications. Your primary responsibility will be to get medications ready internally to be dispensed for the animals in the shelter, animals that are in foster homes or animals going to their adoptive homes. You will assist team members across multiple departments with instructions for medication administration. You will help maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and medications so that needed supplies and medications are always ready to be used.

Work Environment / Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. There will be exposure to wet floors, animal noises, odors and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air conditioned and heated office environment
