We are seeking a motivated and highly detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our nationally-practicing law firm. We represent and defend professional truck drivers, protecting their commercial driver’s licenses and livelihoods. Most of our legal work takes place in traffic courts and involves managing a steady flow of time-sensitive cases.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, enjoys repetitive and process-focused work, and is comfortable working independently for most of the day.
While supervision and support are always available, this position requires a high degree of autonomy. Much of the work mirrors the precision and organization expected of a legal assistant, and accuracy is critical. The right candidate finds satisfaction in routine tasks, can manage urgent demands without becoming overwhelmed, and maintains exceptional attention to detail even under tight timeframes.
- What You’ll Do :
- Independently manage and maintain a high-volume caseload with supervision available as needed.
- Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, correspondence, and case summaries.
- Perform detailed administrative and document-management tasks essential to case accuracy and compliance.
- Review case files for completeness, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to obtain and relay timely information.
- Attend hearings as required and represent clients professionally.
- Consistently update internal systems to reflect real-time case status, deadlines, and hearing outcomes.
- Assist with repetitive, process-driven tasks that require precision and quick turnaround.
- What You Bring to the Table :
Must-Have Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred, but Not Required
- Experience as an attorney.
- Experience in the Transportation / Trucking industry.
