As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team, you will :
Attend deliveries and perform stabilization assessments for newborns.Create and adjust care plans based on infants' needs and responses to treatments.Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care delivery.Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.Support the transport of infants as part of emergency medical teams.Educate families on homecare and available support resources.Assist with resuscitation in high-risk scenarios.Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff while adhering to best practices.Qualifications
Experience Required :
Minimum of 1 year as a Registered Nurse, ideally with acute care experience.Education Required :
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.Licenses and Certifications :
Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license (must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification necessary.Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) and completion of S.T.A.B.L.E. program are preferred.St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a prestigious medical facility that offers a full range of services, including advanced maternity and neonatal care with a Level III NICU.
