We are seeking a highly organized, detail oriented Equipment Specialist to support daily shop operations, and equipment processing.
This role is essential to ensuring equipment is accurately received, tracked, detailed, photographed, and prepared for rental, sale, or service.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and communicates effectively across service, parts, and sales teams.
Responsibilities :
- Equipment Receiving & Tracking Receive all incoming equipment, including new units, used units, customer repairs, trade-ins, scrap items, and large parts.
- Review build sheets and verify each item matches the delivered unit.
- Enter and maintain accurate records in the Shop Jobs spreadsheet and associated Job Packets.
- Perform status checks on parts orders with the expediter or parts personnel.
- Track customer-owned equipment while in the shop.
- Email photos and paperwork to internal stakeholders as needed. 360 Equipment Recording Locate, clean, and prepare units for 360-degree documentation.
- Check fluids, lights, functions, attachments, and special add-ons.
- Complete detailed checklists for each unit.
- Capture 20–30 high-quality images per unit.
- Tag and stage equipment based on wear, tear, or damage determinations.
- Retrieve 360 data for sales or shop office inquiries.
- Inventory & Yard Coordination Maintain updated lists of equipment ready for rent and units down due to missing parts.
- Track stock units and their building locations.
- Move equipment between dock, yard, and buildings as required.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment history and current location.
- Work Order & Job Management Review work orders to ensure all tasks have been completed and confirm job accuracy on the unit.
- Scan and submit completed job packets.
- Coordinate attachment and fork needs with parts and sales teams.
- Assist with rental damage coordination and communication with Parts and Rental Managers.
- Assisting in Detailing & Preparation of Equipment Perform extensive detailing of equipment, including units ready for 360 imaging, customer unit Clean cabs, operator areas, windows, mats, and remove grease, fluids, dust, and dirt.
- Schedule units for wash bay processing or complete hand-cleaning for electric units.
- Wash Bay Supervision & Dock Maintenance Oversee wash bay operations and schedule equipment and parts flow.
- Inspect units after washing to verify they are ready to ship or move to the next line.
- Move or tow non-running units as needed.
Perform general dock maintenance :
