Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

JFS at Home is seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team in providing specialized services built on integrity, compassion, social responsibility and humanitarian values. Join our growing home care agency and become a part of our caring community!

Individuals must have experience in

• Providing assistance with personal hygiene for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
• Provides client with reminders to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) Assist with planning and preparing meals and help with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Transfers of patients to commode or toilet, bed to mobility assistance equipment
• Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
• Records and reports activities related to personal care responsibilities, as required.
• Responds promptly to client requests
• Documents all client related activities in a timely manner.
• Participates in performance improvement in services.
• Reacts to change productively and performs other job-related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day - must have Bodily Injury Liability coverage in auto insurance policy.
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends (Flexibility with 4 hour shifts preferred)
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA License and 24 hours current CEU’s
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
