We are seeking a  Project Architect  with 8-14 years of experience for high-end commercial, hospitality, restaurant and retail tenant improvement projects.

We are seeking a talented and capable Project Architect to :

  • Lead high-end commercial tenant improvements
  • Perform design, project management, relationship management and technical coordination
  • Support the team members with your time and talent and mentor junior staff
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an NAAB accredited school of architecture
  • Strong design, technical, communication and project management skills
  • Licensed, or on the path towards licensure
  • Proficiency with Revit is preferred

    Current commercial projects include high-end, high-profile restaurants, hospitality-forward medical offices and fitness spaces and innovative commercial office spaces. Beyond project type, we cultivate lasting relationships with high quality clients by way of proactive, high-touch architectural services and management, and exceptional communication.

    To grow and excel professionally, we meet weekly to discuss project work, schedules and share learnings. We conduct 30 in-house educational seminars per year to learn about design, technical issues, building and planning codes, and management best practices. We have established and are continuously updating robust project standards.

    To help ensure personal and firm success, we have a leadership team comprised of staff members and principals to help chart the firm’s direction and make continuous improvements. We hold four quarterly business meetings to discuss firm goals and provide high levels of business transparency.

    Your responsibilities and skills as a Project Architect will include :

    Personal / Professional

  • Ability and technical expertise to create and execute a design vision centered around a client’s needs, ambitions, budget, and schedule.
  • Ability to assemble, inspire, and lead a team of architects and consultants for the successful execution of custom projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively plan and manage project schedules, project budgets, resources.
  • Superior interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Technical

  • Understand the appropriate level of detail / information required in drawings at each phase.
  • Ability to oversee the production of design and construction documents in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Understanding of technical details and to provide quality control and oversight on projects.
  • Software proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Understanding of legal concepts contained within contracts; can assist with writing contracts.
  • Ability to manage professional fees and oversee regular monthly invoicing of projects.
  • Can troubleshoot a variety client issues to fair and amiable ends.
  • Can identify changes in scope, write supplemental service agreements, and negotiate with client.
  • Can effectively coordinate project consultants throughout a project.
  • Ability to anticipate and research code issues; ability to submit projects to local jurisdictions and permit projects independently.
  • Knowledge of construction process, procedures and documentation required to effectively manage projects through construction administration independently.
