Production Manager (Production)

Job Description :

Hands-on approach to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and lead the manufacturing processes, including all employees related to direct labor.

Tasks :

• Ensure estimated cycle times are met by continuously improving process flows, removing unnecessary motion / processes, and eliminating waiting time.
• Ensure short-term commitments are met by personally following the product and removing any obstacles.
• Ensure long term commitments are met by properly planning manpower and machines
• Monitoring and mentoring leads supervisors to improve efficiency
• Develop goals for leads and supervisors to improve overall management skills
• Hold leads and supervisors accountable for deadlines
• Make decisions on the fly to keep production moving
• Build employee schedules to best suit the needs of the company
• Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
• Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Collaborating with engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure efficient production methods.
• Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
• Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
• Coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
• Providing engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Coordinating maintenance work assigned to technicians and outside vendors.
• Review timecards and approve time off request as needed
• Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, specified regulations, and goods manufacturing practices.
