1st Shift Maintenance Technician Position

Overview

A thermoplastic injection molding company located about 30 miles west of Manhattan NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily plant operations on the first shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment performing preventative maintenance and ensuring smooth operation of production machinery in a clean organized manufacturing environment. MUST have injection molding experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery support equipment and facility systems.

Diagnose mechanical pneumatic and basic electrical issues on CNC and molding equipment.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Maintain maintenance logs records and parts inventory.

Assist with setup calibration and repair of machines and equipment as needed.

Ensure all work follows safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

3 years of maintenance or mechanical repair experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics and basic electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings manuals and schematics.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer proficiency for maintenance documentation.

Dependable self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift : 1st Shift 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM Monday through Friday.

Compensation : Competitive hourly rate based on experience plus full benefits package.
