Applications Engineer / Sales Support

Job Description

Our client is a well-established US-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that specializes in the design and manufacture of custom-engineered processes and systems for the water and wastewater industries. The company's reputation was established by providing quality, custom-engineered, groundwater pressure filtration systems for the removal of heavy metals, sulfides, organics, etc. for drinking water suppliers across North America. Our client's unique and successful applications of ozone technology for the oxidation of constituents, and treatment of color, odor, and taste have been well-established for decades.

Due to company growth, the company requires an Applications Engineer / Sales Support to join their Filtration and Ozone Division. This in-office role bridges technical expertise with customer engagement, supporting the design and sale of water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate has a background in engineering or technical sales, and a strong understanding of treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities for this position include :

• Developing and delivering technical proposals for filtration / membrane and ozone systems, including design parameters, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
• Serving as a primary point of contact for customers, consultants, and contractors throughout the sales process.
• Analyzing project requirements, water quality data, and system applications to recommend best-fit solutions.
• Collaborating closely with engineering teams to support system design and ensure accurate scope details.
• Preparing detailed bid packages and participating in proposal presentations and technical discussions.
• Maintaining regular contact with new and existing accounts to identify business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
• Assisting in marketing efforts, including product presentations and technical training sessions.

Qualifications for this position include :

The base salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 or commensurate with experience and full benefits. This position is based in Whittier CA.
