Senior FP&A Lead

Summary

We're looking for a highly analytical and execution-oriented FP&A Lead to drive strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management across the organization. This role will report into the VP of Strategy and work closely with Finance, Operations, and the leadership team to deliver insights, improve decision-making, and support growth. The FP&A Manager will also oversee accounting workflows and serve as the primary liaison with our external accounting firm to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. We're looking for individuals who are high horsepower and high throughput, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations.

What You'll Do

  • Create and own Company forecast budget model for revenue, expenses, and cash flow
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting workflows in partnership with our third-party accounting firm
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Conduct financial & variance analyses on business performance, operational trends, and cost drivers to support decision-making and improve efficiency
  • Create dashboards and scorecards for Board and leadership team to track KPIs and performance

What We're Looking For

  • 4-6+ years of business operations, investment banking, accounting, consulting, or private equity experience
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate data into narratives and action plans
  • Solid grounding in accounting fundamentals and experience managing external accountants or auditors
  • Deep analytical and modeling skills
  • Track record of operational execution with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proven project management skills in ambiguous, cross-functional environments
  • Self-starter with ownership mentality and ability to thrive in a high-growth environment
  • Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required
  • Compensation

    Base Salary : $150,000 - $175,000 USD

    Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Spark. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Spark is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
