Position Title : Behavior Technician- EIDBI Level 2
Service Area : Ignite Child Development Services, MN
Ignite Child Development Services is an innovative behavioral health program. Our preschool and school partnerships are the core of our individualized and embedded services. We bring our intervention services to children; we do not require children to come to us. We partner with school teams to ensure the best outcomes. Our therapists bring expertise in developmental skill-building and relationship-based behavioral regulation.
We are seeking a Level 2 Provider to provide clinical skills instruction to children with autism as part of embedded school programming in school settings in collaboration with special education and school teams. Additionally, the Level 2 Providers will collect progress monitoring data, assist with school training, and assist the BCBA / Mental Health Professional with clinical assessments as needed. The Level 2 Provider is an hourly position on school days. The Level 2 Provider will follow the school's academic calendar, including holiday breaks, scheduled days off, and summer breaks.
Essential Duties and Functions :
- Follow the Individual Treatment Plan in order to provide clinical evidence-based strategies for behavior change to students in 1 : 1 and small group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
- Build relationships and collaborate with school teams, educators, students and their families, and ensure open lines of communication about treatment progress, concerns, or revisions; collaborate with supervision professional and school teams in order to problem solve differences in practice. between the clinical and educational teams.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the ongoing improvement of services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder or related conditions, and be able to think flexibly about how to design and implement services that are unique to school teams and students.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology in order to perform job responsibilities to required standards. Use effective communication and management skills to document services, collect data, track mileage, and complete other tasks.
Education and Experience :
Required For EIDBI Level 2 Providers : Bachelor’s degree in, or currently enrolled in a Master's program for Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Language Therapy, or related fieldRequired for EIDBI Level 2 Providers : Minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised experience with children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other related conditions.
