Responsibilities

• Assisting sales personnel with enhancing the customer buying experience.
• Acting as a liaison between production and sales regarding the quality of portland and masonry cements.
• Promoting the use of cement and concrete by participating in industry groups and trade associations.
• Responding to technical questions from customers, contractors, engineers and owners.
• Maintaining working relations with governmental agencies, such as state transportation departments.
• Conducting seminars on various technical/marketing subjects.
• Traveling, as required, to the following service area: Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York Metro, Western Connecticut and Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a science field or equivalent construction program, is preferred.
• 5+ years experience in the concrete, masonry or cement industries is preferred.
• Knowledge of cement and admixture chemistries.
• Familiarity and ability to perform physical testing of concrete, mortar and grout.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal intelligence.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to do physical labor, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
