Shipping Clerk

Temp to Hire

$15.27 / hr

Monday to Wednesday from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm.

Thursday to Friday from 10 : 00 am to 6 : 30 pm.

Saturday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• This position is responsible for most of the tasks involved in executing the shipping plan.
• Responsible for assigning all incoming trucks / trailers to docks for pick up / drop.
• Responsible for assigning all loads to be built to the floor.
• Responsible for locating trips / loads on the warehouse floor.
• Responsible for matching the load being picked up.
• Responsible for interacting with all drivers.
• Responsible for releasing loads
• Bill of Lading Signatures.
• Responsible for receiving all incoming material / products in Oracle.
• Responsible for tripping all orders in Oracle
• Photocopy, file, and fax / email documentation, ensuring the retention of the information and its quick retrieval.
• Perform all housekeeping tasks necessary to keep work areas clean
• Positively represent Company to various transportation company personnel the execution of all duties
• Routinely answer inquiries from carriers regarding shipment status and assign carrier empties to docks or trailer yard
• Follow all standard operating policies and department / site guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable policies, practices, and regulatory requirements (OSHA).
• Perform all housekeeping tasks necessary to keep work areas clean and safe. Performs other related duties as requested.
• Regular attendance required

Competences, Knowledge and Skills :

Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.

Experience / Experiencia :
