Assemble electronic equipment by installing and electronic components, circuits, and electronic devices.
Duties :
- Prepare wires for assembly. Cutting wire to length, stripping insulation, and tinning the ends.
- Cutting shrink wrap tubing to length.
- Soldering wires and assemblies.
- Performing post assembly electrical test.
- Mixing epoxy and gluing covers to assembled product.
- Organizes work by receiving work requests.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock.
- Keeps tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
