The Hospital Compliance RN reports to the Senior Director of Nursing and partners closely with Quality, Risk Management, Infection Prevention, Pharmacy, Case Management, and Physician Leadership to drive outcomes. Unit-based safety champions, clinical educators, and compliance analysts align their efforts with the position to sustain standards and readiness. Daily collaboration with Emergency Department leadership ensures advances of both departmental and hospital-wide initiatives.

Focused on the Emergency Department, a fast-paced service line with over 60,000 annual visits, the Hospital Compliance RN engages board-certified emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, exceptional nurses, and skilled technicians to elevate safe, efficient care. The role leads clinical safety rounding, coordinates high-risk simulations and drills, mentors staff on competencies, and supports disclosure and debriefing after adverse events or near misses. On the administrative side, the Hospital Compliance RN analyzes safety metrics and documentation, maintains corrective action plans, prepares dashboards and reports for regulatory bodies, and steers readiness for surveys such as Joint Commission and CMS. When needed, the Hospital Compliance RN provides direct patient care in alignment with scope and departmental priorities, reinforcing best practices at the bedside.
