Position Overview

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence based practice, The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards

The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities

MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE

BLS

High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required

Telemetry Experience Required

RN License (NY License ONLY)

Two (2) Years Experience

Required Clinical Experience

Q1 neuro checks

EVDs

Lumbar drains

Sub-dural drains

3%NS and cardene drips

Arterial lines

Carotid endarterectomy

Aneurysm coil / clips

DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator)

VP shunts

Seizures

Required Skills and Certifications

Two (2) years Experience - Required

RN License (ONLY NY Licenses are accepted at this time) - Required

BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required

Telemetry Experience Required - Required

ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required

Stepdown / PCU Experience - Required
